Our cameras briefly caught the men walking into court before their defense attorney asked us to leave.
Davion Howard, Jacobi Robinson, and Maclin Rogers all face aggravated robbery and capitol murder charges.
The three men pleaded not guilty Tuesday. That was not a surprise there; this appearance in North Little Rock District court was more like a formality. The men will have eventually have to answer to their charges in circuit court.
All three are accused in the death of 29-year-old Akiya Egeston as she worked at the EZ Mart on Macarthur Drive in North Little Rock last month.
It took several days and two police departments but eventually the three were tracked down.
Jacobi Robinson admitted to the crime to KARK last week, saying he regretted it.
But Tuesday, he and the two other men claimed their innocence.
They are being held now without bond.
They have another court date November 14th.
Each of the men told the judge they planned to hire their own private defense attorneys.
Tuesday afternoon, KARK spoke with the mother of the victim. She was a bit upset about the not guilty pleas.
But she says the proof is in the surveillance videos and in their own statements.
She believes justice will prevail. She'd like to see the men put to death.
Of course, much more to come in this case. count on us to cover it for you.
