Downtown North Little Rock Construction Project Begins Tuesday

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: October 2, 2012
Starting Tuesday, drivers who travel through a stretch of downtown North Little Rock may want to find a new way for the next few months.

A major road construction project will begin along 7th Street between the east side of Main and Cypress as soon as the morning rush hour ends.

The street work will affect traffic in the area for about two and a half months if Mother Nature cooperates.

A city engineer tells KARK the work is expected to make the entryway into North Little Rock more attractive and environmentally friendly -- and more bicycle friendly.
