Drug Take Back Nets Hundreds of Pounds of Prescription Drugs

Taking part in the 5th Prescription Drug Take-Back by collecting old and expired prescription drugs.
They said instead of going to the corner and getting drugs from dealers teens are getting prescription drugs out of parents or grandparents medicine cabinets.
"Leave it in the medicine cabinet," said Lieutenant Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. "You don't go back and check it they go in take the pills, take them ot give them to their friends. This way you can get rid of it and not have to worry about it."
Deputies collected more than 320 in one day.
Although the take-back ended at 2 PM both Little Rock Police and Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputies have drop-off boxes for prescription drugs at their headquarters that are open 24 hours a day.
