Johntae Anthony Henry, 19, was caught minutes after the TV was stolen from a home on Charlotte Circle, the police report said.
He was picked up when the car he was riding in with two other suspects stopped a few streets away on Southeastern Avenue and they ran away, leaving him behind.
Henry is charged with aggravated residential burglary and theft of property.
Police say he and the other suspects rang the doorbell of a home around 8:30 before forcing their way inside and demanding money. When they were told there was no money, one of them pulled out a handgun and demanded cash a second time before taking it from the victim's wallet.
The suspects then allegedly grabbed jewelry, a cell phone and the TV before running out the front door.
Witnesses watched them drive away and told police which way they went. Police were able to track them down still in the neighborhood and recover the victim's phone and TV and make the arrest. They are still looking for leads on the other two suspects.
