A search is underway in North Arkansas for a woman missing after a weekend hike.
Linda Arteaga, 53, was last seen Saturday afternoon off Highway 374 near St. Joe. She was reported missing by family members on Wednesday.
Authorities say a man who was with her on that hike made his way out of the woods on Monday. He told investigators they got lost, and then became separated.
Arteaga is 5'4" tall and weighs about 240 pounds. She has blonde to light brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing denim Capri pants, a pink t-shirt and flip flops.
If you have any information, or would like to help in the search, call the Searcy County Sheriff's Office at (870) 448-2340.
Authorities say the area where Arteaga was last seen is heavily wooded with treacherous terrain and that she was not carrying a cell phone.
