The path the Little Rock Nine carved out on their way to the steps of Central High and then into the school's front doors is well documented, but the mission of nine kids from Little Rock plays out in many forms for each generation.

Crowds gathered Tuesday at the Argenta Theatre in North Little Rock for the last night of the Reel Civil Rights Film Festival, where more than a dozen films were presented.

The films were all about the long and hard-won fight for civil rights and equality under the law.

Activist and entertainer Harry Belafonte was being honored Tuesday night, as his documentary titled "Sing Your Song" was screened at the festival.

The documentary is told from Belafonte's point of view, and tells of the challenges discrimination presented to him, even through his meteoric rise to music stardom.
