Arkansas State Police, with assistance from the FBI and US Attorney's office have charged five more people in connection to election fraud.

Officials say Eric Fontain Cox, Amos Sanders, Lisa Burns, Deshay Lorenzo Parker III and Leroy Grant were charged with possession of more than 10 absentee ballots with the intent of defrauding election officials.

These charges arose from an investigation which has already resulted in four pleas of guilty by other defendants in Federal Court.

Each charge is a class D felony, punishable by up to 6 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

A conviction on this charge would also result in the inability to hold public employment or office, and if someone who is convicted while in office, they will be subject to impeachment.
