Whoa! The Hog Running Game is Woeful!

"If I could pinpoint it on one thing, then we'd be able to fix it," junior center and team captain Travis Swanson said Monday. "It's just something that you've got to keep working and keep working and keep working. Kind of like years before, it's not something that's going to happen overnight."
Clearing the small holes will continue to be a problem. John L. Smith announced Monday in Little Rock, fullback Kiero Small's officially out for the season with his foot injury.
"It's definitely tough, especially when you've got that good of a player playing football for you," senior quarterback and team captain Tyler Wilson explained. "Kiero is a special player."
Playing from behind the last couple of games forced the Razorbacks to be in obvious passing situations, but the trouble with the run game could also stem from predictability.
"I think there's a couple of things game plan-wise that I know coach is working on right now," Wilson said. "I think we're predictable a little bit on some of the things we do. We're going to change that up. So I think that will help us out in the run game."
Surprise is a factor the run game could desperately use. Arkansas' longest run of the season's just 27 yards and that came from backup quarterback Brandon Allen.
