Desha County Judge Mark McElroy: "I Did Not Resign"

Despite rumors to the contrary, Desha County Judge Mark McElroy says he did not resign from office last week.

"That is a false statement that I resigned," McElroy said on Monday. "I've been county judge for 20 years and I want to go out the way I came in: doing my job."

The rumor, perhaps, stemmed from a video played at last week's quorum court meeting.
