Air travel can be long and stressful, but a group of volunteers at Bill and Hillary Clinton National is making the experience a little easier.

You'll recognize them by there red vests, badges, and warm smiles.  The Airport Angel Squadron is ready to help passengers with whatever they need.

"We could not provide the level of service that we do without them," said airport spokesman Shane Carter.

The squadron is made up of 20 volunteers, mostly retirees.  Many say the biggest perk is meeting people.

"Especially if you're as old as I am," said Jarey Duran.  "You see a lot of people from your past.  That's a very pleasant experience."

And you're sure to recognize one member- recently retired KARK News Anchor Dave Woodman.

"When I looked at what these airport angels do, this is something I really decided I wanted to do," said Woodman.

"I meet incoming flights that's one of my favorite things to do." He said,  "I greet people, I direct them to baggage claim, car rental, and food and restroom, and just overall, try to be a good image for the city of Little Rock."

Two million travelers a year make their way through Clinton National, and the Angel Squadron wants to ensure their trip through the airport is a smooth one.

Even in our busy airport terminal and concourse, Arkansas hospitality shines through.

To become a member of the Aiport Angel Squadron, you must fill out an application and get a special security clearance. For more information, call (501) 537-1712.
