Yell Co. Judge to Appoint School Board Members on Monday

The Yell County quorum court is due to appoint school board members to the Danville School District Monday morning.
All five members of the board ran unopposed, however no one voted, and state law requires candidates receive at least one vote, leaving the district without any board members.
Yell County Judge Mark Thone said there is no precedent for something like this.
Typically the members would have been grandfathered in, but because of redistricting from the census, there are technically no incumbents.
