Jefferson Co. Officials Searching for Driver in Hit & Run Accident

Deputies responded to the report of a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in Jefferson just before 8:00 Wednesday night along NCTR Road, according to the Sheriff's Department.
A family member was administering aid to 33-year-old Michael Denham, who according to witnesses, was struck by a vehicle after running onto the highway following an argument.
Witnesses say the vehicle was a dark SUV driven by an unknown driver.
Denham was thrown into the air by the impact of the SUV, which kept driving west on NCTR Road toward Highway 365, the Sheriff's Office reports.
He was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. His condition is currently unknown, but he did regain consciousness before he was taken to the hospital.
