A teenager who was walking to the bus stop is recovering from being hit by a car in North Little Rock.

It happened this morning around 7:30 along Arrowhead Road near the intersection with Lynn Lane.

Police say the 15-year-old boy and the car that hit him were both headed east and the driver said the sun blinded her from seeing him.

After hitting the teen, the driver stopped and called 911.

He was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police say the driver was given a ticket for unsafe driving.
