The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on Tuesday on child pornography charges.
According to a report released by the PCSO, 56-year-old Thurman Baker was arrested and charged with computer exploitation of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia after a concerned mother filed an incident report.
The mother, Baker's neighbor, told a Sheriff's Deputy that she noticed he was sneaking around and watching her 10-year-old daughter, hiding behind trees and approaching when she was outside.
The deputy was unable to contact Baker immediately after taking the report, but returned later with two other deputies and contacted him at his home.
Baker invited them in, and after the deputy informed him that there were reports of his bizarre behavior regarding the young girls in the neighborhood, he spontaneously said, "...everybody is telling me that it is my job to get them ready for sex," according to the report.
The deputy noticed a camera pointing out of the window near the back door, a large antenna in the living room, and an abundance of computer equipment, the report states.
Upon request, Baker granted the deputies permission to search his residence, where they found two glass pipes commonly used for smoking narcotics, and upon searching his computer, located multiple files containing photos of young children who were undressed and posing, according to the report.
Baker was then arrested without incident.
