Arkansas State University Athletics has announced revisions that have been made that will allow fans to have access to the "black" parking lot up to four hours before kickoff on Saturday.
Vehicles that are left in that lot without a proper parking permit will be towed at the owner's expense if they are not moved by two o'clock Saturday afternoon.
"Following the Memphis game, the athletics department discussed how to make tailgating in this area more convenient for ASU fans," said Carter Ford, Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations. "We want everyone in attendance to have the best fan experience possible."
The "black" parking lot can be easily accessed by turning onto Alumni Boulevard from Stadium Drive and proceeding into the "red" parking lot south of Liberty Bank Stadium. Ushers will direct fans to the entrance of the lot at that point.
"Tailgating outside Liberty Bank Stadium is growing rapidly," said Ford. "We want to provide ASU fans a great atmosphere outside the stadium which will translate into the best overall fan experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans in attendance."
The Red Wolves will be back in action at home at 6 p.m. Saturday against Alcorn State. The Red Wolf Walk will begin at 3:45 p.m. in Tailgate City. The Red Wolf Walk provides fans an opportunity to cheer on the coaches and student-athletes as they enter the stadium on game day.
