State Senator Bruce Holland is catching some flack from Democrats.

Holland is a Republican who got in trouble last year for leading police on a high-speed chase through Perry County at speeds topping 100 miles per hour.

He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges.

Now a northwest Arkansas paper is saying it got a look at the sealed report in Holland's case, and according to the paper, Holland told the sheriff's deputy he was just trying out his new car.

Democrats say it shows Holland is, "reckless and unfit for re-election."

Calls to Holland on Monday were not returned.
