Update: Trial Begins for El Dorado Man Accused of Killing Girlfriend's Daughter

Jury selection begins Wednesday in the murder trial of an El Dorado man accused of killing a toddler.
Desmond Evans, 22, is charged with the death of his girlfriend's daughter, 18-month-old Cherise Samuels last August.
Evans is charged with capital murder and could face life in prison without parole if he's convicted.

A new trial date has been set for an El Dorado man charged with the murder of his girlfriend's baby.
A judge has moved the trial date for Desmond Evans, 22, from Tuesday to October 22nd after new evidence was submitted in the case.
Evans was charged with capital murder in the death of 18-month-old Cherise Samuels last August.
According to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, Samuels died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Evans' trial will be held at the Union County Courthouse.
