Update (12:30 p.m.):
A trial date of December 6th has been set.

The judge also issued a gag order for everyone close to the case.

Original story (9:45 a.m.):

A pre-trial hearing is set in Searcy today in a legal battle over a million-dollar lottery ticket.

Third Division Circuit Court Judge Craig Hannah is set to hear the case starting at 11 o'clock this morning.

Back in May, the judge who had previously resided over the matter ordered a new trial and then took himself off the case.

Sharon Jones of Beebe found the million-dollar ticket in the trash at a gas station in July of 2011.

Judge Thomas Hughes had previously awarded the ticket to another woman, Sharon Duncan, who said she'd bought the ticket but then threw it away when after scanning it and being told it was not a winner.
