A Faulkner County law enforcement officer has been fired after a woman claimed he beat her up and held a gun to her throat.

Michael J. Bell was the only member of the Faulkner County Road Police. He was fired Thursday after a report from August 31.

A 20-year-old woman claimed Bell caused cuts to her face during a fight as his Vilonia home.

The prosecutor says she's decided not to file charges. But the Sheriff ultimately decided they didn't want Bell with a gun and badge.
