While she doesn't want her identity revealed the victim in this case opened up about what happened to her, hoping to stop it from happening to someone else.
"I woke up to man on top of me, straddling me, strangling me, choking me with full force," the woman described.
Less than 24 hours after being sexually assaulted in her own home the victim shared details from the attack.
"He was hissing expletives," she recalled. "I'm so effed up, I'm so effed up right now. I can't believe I'm doing this, I just need to touch a woman...God you're strong."
She says the stranger took off her clothes and tried to rape her.
"I fought him and fought him and fought him really trying to get air, that's when he knocked me to the floor," she said.
She pointed out bruises on her neck and scrapes on her arm as she described how the perpetrator forced her into the bathroom where she noticed the open window and realized the way he got in would be her only way out.
"I thought I could jump out of the window and get out and if I didn't get out, he would kill me," she said, fighting tears.
But she made it and ran naked, knocking on doors and yelling for help until someone finally answered and called police.
"Who knows, it possibly saved her life, Once our officers and detectives got back to her house, they found a knife. She says it was a knife from her kitchen but she doesn't know why it would be out," explained Conway Police Spokesperson LaTresha Woodruff.
Woodruff says police are also more alarmed because the victim says she doesn't know her attacker. She told KARK she hopes someone saw or knows something that will bring him to justice.
Police are working various leads and while they name a a person of interest on the report, they have not made any arrests at this time.
