People we spoke with said they're on high alert because the attack appears to be completely random and happened near a popular community park.

"You know we come here with our kids so that's kind of crazy," said Suzanne Dodge.

According to the victim the person ran her off the road as she was driving home and then attacked her.

We spoke with a Russellville Tech student who found out about the attack on facebook and said she hopes more information is released because there are a lot of young females in Russellville.

"This is a college town," said Laura Dodge. "They put up a lot of emergency phones around campus because I know last year we had a lot of attacks on campus and so the more prepared the better."

The victim describes the person as a black male, driving a small single cab truck.

The one distinguishing characteristic here he's missing the tip of his index finger.

If you have any information you're asked to contact Russellville Police at 479-968-3232 or use the silent tip line 479-967-2221.
