Updated: September 13, 2012
This latest release of information includes an interview with Carter's girlfriend, Brandie Henson.
Henson tells police that Carter called her while he was in the back of the police car, and told her he had a pistol and that he loved her.
During the course of the interview, Henson says she had a hard time believing Carter would commit suicide because she was pregnant, and Chavis was excited at the prospect of having a family with her.
She tells the officer that she had a miscarriage the same night of Carter's death, but he was not aware of it.
When releasing this interview to the media, Jonesboro Police titled it "Brandie Henson phone interview redacted," meaning some parts of the interview have been muted or left out altogether.
This redacted information includes, but is not necessarily limited to, some of Ms. Henson's personal information.
