Supply Interruption Leaves Town of Mena Without Gas

The entire town of Mena is without gas, as an interruption to the gas supply has caused an outage.
Centerpoint Energy Arkla says they are unsure what caused the interruption, but it started Wednesday evening and effects approximately 1,700 customers.
The company says the process to get the gas back on is time consuming, as they must go to each individual meter, turn it off, clear the line then return to the meter to turn it back on.
Officials say they've now turned off all the meters and home to have everyone back online by the end of the day Friday.
