A girl with no country, struggling for citizenship in the United States, is now one step closer to coming home.

Kaiti Tidwell had to leave her home in Glenwood for Mexico to avoid deportation after an 11-year battle for citizenship.

Now it may be just a matter of weeks before she's on the road to becoming an American.
