Volunteer organizations gathered at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock to encourage faculty and students to give back.

More than 40 local organizations took part in the event, designed to help build partnerships between the university and the community.

"I just like giving my time to the community," says UALR student volunteer Aisha Pannell. "I'm kind of poor so I don't have a lot of money to give, and so volunteering you can give your time to help support any organization, because most people can appreciate you giving your time."

This is the 15th year the university has held the service fair.
