Ashley County Woman Accused of Killing Her Mother

A woman in Ashley County, Arkansas is in jail after allegedly killing her mother.
The Arkansas State Police says 33-year-old Jewel White killed 59-year-old Paulette Francis during an argument over money.
Police say the murder took place at Francis's home on Friday in Portland.
Her body has been sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy, but police believe she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Police say when they arrived on the scene, Francis's body was found on the kitchen floor while her daughter was lying in the front entrance of the home with minor injuries from her mother.
White is being charged with first-degree murder, forgery and theft of property.
She is being held in the Ashley County Jail.
