A man who broke out of an east central Missouri jail with some other inmates over the weekend could be headed for Arkansas, according to officials.

Joseph Verive, 49, was one of five who escaped from the Pike County, Missouri jail Saturday night. Three of them have since been recaptured in Oklahoma, says the Pike County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).

Officials say Verive, of Elsberry, Missouri, has family in Arkansas. He was in jail on a charge of domestic assault.
