City Year brings together young people who have dedicated a year of their life to service with students in the nation's highest need schools.
There, the Corps members act as tutors and cheerleaders for students who need a little extra help.
"We see improvements across the board. Not just in grades but in their attitudes, they get excited about coming to school and seeing us everyday."
City Year focuses its efforts where they can make the most impact on dropout rates, including four Little Rock and North Little Rock campuses this year.
