Arkansas families are Back-to-School big spenders this year. And area stores are cashing in with school supply pricing wars going strong. According to the National Retail Federation, families with school-aged children are expected to spend an average $563 on school uniforms, books, binders, pencils and other items. Thats up 7% from the average a year ago. Wal-Mart is prompting stiff competition as it announces slashing prices on 16 thousand items.
