An Arkansas lawmaker who resigned from office Wednesday after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit election fraud says he's sorry.

Hudson Hallum, his father Kent Hallum, West Memphis City Councilman Philip Wayne Carter and West Memphis police officer Sam Malone all pleaded guilty to the charges, but only Hudson Hallum was willing to talk to the news media on Thursday.

"I want to apologize to the people that genuinely do support me and voted for me and I let down, you know, I can never apologize enough for what I've done," Hallum said.

The federal court has not yet set a date for when all four will be sentenced.

They each face up to a $250,000 fine and/or five years in prison.
