Updated: September 6, 2012
Michael Tinsley, a silver medalist in the men's 400 meter hurdles at the London Olympics, will toss the coin to start the football game at his high school alma mater, Joe T. Robinson High School, Friday night.

Tinsley will then meet fans and sign autographs. Little Rock's Tinsley is a 2002 Joe T. Robinson High School graduate and track star.

Tinsley will be welcomed to the field at 6:55 p.m. by his former coach and current Robinson High football coach Athletic Director Coach Todd Eskola.

Tickets to the game against Little Rock's J.A. Fair War Eagles are $5 and the gates open at 6 p.m.

Eskola said the school has planned a special welcoming ceremony that will include free photos with Tinsley and autograph cards he will sign.

"We're so proud of all that Michael has accomplished since the amazing things he did here a few years ago at Robinson. The Robinson community cheered him proudly in the Olympics, and we can't wait to congratulate him in person tomorrow," Eskola said. "We hope the public will join us to celebrate a local sports hero."
