A group is crying foul over the mayoral race in Pine Bluff.
They call themselves the Interested Citizens for Voter Registration. They came together Saturday morning with a message against what they say is the unfair way the current Pine Bluff mayor is seeking reelection.
The group -- made up of citizens as well as other Pine Bluff mayoral candidates -- says Mayor Carl Redus is trying to skip November's election, based on a drop in the Pine Bluff population.
Pine Bluff mayoral candidate Peter Daniels says, "The law is clear what happens to a city with a population over 50,000, and the law is clear what happens to a city below 50,000, but the law is not clear for a city that was over 50,000 and has fallen below."
KARK reached out to Mayor Redus, but he was unavailable for comment on this issue.
