Razorbacks Set to Open Season Against Jacksonville State Saturday

Arkansas is currently ranked No. 10 in the nation. They were 11-2 last year and come into the season with hopes and expectations for a national championship.

The game marks the first for new head coach John L. Smith. Smith gets the opportunity to put his stamp on the Hogs following the firing of Bobby Petrino.

Junior running back Knile Davis will return to the field as a Heisman contender along with senior quarterback Tyler Wilson. The pair helped Arkansas lead the SEC in total offense during the 2011 season.

Davis is listed on the injury report as probable and is expected to play in today's game. His time may be limited.

Jacksonville State comes into the game with a 1-10 record in its last 11 games. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks have an 8-1 record in their last 9 games winning five-straight at home.

Jacksonville State Gamecocks coach Jack Crowe will be looking to upset the Razorbacks and earn a little revenge. Crowe was fired as Razorbacks head coach following a first-game loss to Citadel to open the 1992 season.
