A power line is already down at 1800 South Battery, where crews are working after a tree fell, but it's only a glimpse of what they could be dealing with when Isaac hits.
Entergy says they're getting ready to mobilize hundreds of technicians, scouts, linemen and engineers to respond to widespread power outages.
Getting the electricity back on is one thing, but the real difficulty is going to be just getting those crews into disaster areas.
"Obviously mother nature is in the driver's seat here, and...just like our neighbors to the south, we'll be at the mercy of what's happening with the weather as to whether we can do the job we want to do, we need to do to get the power back on," Entergy spokesperson Julie Munsell says.
Munsell says the power company expects it's going to mobilize two-thirds of its workforce to respond to whatever wrath Isaac unleashes on us.
