If Isaac slams Central Arkansas, food pantry workers say the damage is going to hurt some of the most vulnerable people: those struggling to afford to eat.

The Helping Hands Food Pantry currently serves 100 families a day.

The storm is the latest concern for the pantry that's already dealing with an ongoing drought and rising food prices.

"That's going to hurt us tremendously because the people that normally give to us as when Hurricane Katrina hit, a lot of people that donate just don't donate to the Katrina victims, it took us a while to recoup and we weren't able to help as many people as we normally do," says Helping Hands administrator Gayle Priddy.

A recent Gallup report lists Arkansas among the top ten states where more people are having a hard time paying for their next meal.
