State officials want to know what residents of Jacksonville and Cabot think about improvements needed along Highway 67.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold Public Involvement Meetings in both cities next month.

The meetings are part of a planning study that is considering extending Highway 67 from the south side of Jacksonville to Cabot, according to AHTD officials.

The AHTD specifically wants to know what commuters have to say about congestion issues.

The meeting in Jacksonville will be held on Tuesday, September 11th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Jacksonville Community Center, #5 Municipal Drive.

The meeting in Cabot will be held on Wednesday, September 12th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Cabot High School's Media Center, 401 N. Lincoln Street.

The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.
