Little Rock couple Frank and Jane Lyon has awarded a $2.5 million gift to the UAMS Reynolds Institute on Aging, a division of the Donald W. Reynolds Department on Geriatrics. The money will go towards funding the Thomas and Lyon Longevity Clinic in the Institute. The Lyons, who are long-time supporters of UAMS and have multiple businesses scattered around Arkansas, gave the donation and named the clinic in memory of their parents, former patients at the Institute.
The new departments funded by the donation include a new frailty and physical disabilities clinic, a caregiver support program, a behavioral problems clinic, and a health promotion and disease prevention program known as ReCenter.
