Kickoff Classic Set for Next Week

A clash between traditional central Arkansas rivals, including eight teams from a broad spectrum of classifications, will be showcased in the fourth annual, First Security Kickoff Classic Aug. 27-28 at War Memorial Stadium/AT&T Field.

The four-game event, presented by ArkansasSports360.com and KABZ-FM 103.7 "The Buzz," features seven playoff teams from last year, and classifications from 4A to 7A will be represented.

Central Arkansas Christian and Stuttgart kick things off at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, followed by Little Rock Christian against Hot Springs Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. Arkadelphia and Benton open Tuesday's action at 5 p.m., followed at 7:30 p.m. by rivals Cabot and Jacksonville, who met in the 2010 Classic.

The Buzz will broadcast the 7:30 p.m. games live each night.

First Security Bank, with locations throughout the state, is the presenting sponsor. Other sponsors are B&B Solutions, Bale Chevrolet, Baptist Health, Pinnacle Business Systems, TC Print Solutions, United Healthcare and Wendy's of Arkansas.

Tickets are $7 per day and will be available through the designated home teams until Aug. 24, and will be sold at the stadium beginning at 4 p.m. on game days.
