From refrigerators and futons to throw rugs and ramen noodles, UALR students brought all the college essentials with them for move-in day.

Registration for the fall semester started on Saturday, followed by a "Break the Ice" ice cream social for the new students that afternoon.

The first day of classes is Thursday, August 23.

Hundreds of freshmen were also in Russellville Saturday night after making the move to Arkansas Tech University.

After spending the afternoon getting settled in, the freshmen began orientation activities Saturday evening.

Over the next few days, the students will take part in several activities as part of welcome week.

Classes at Arkansas Tech begin on Wednesday, August 22.
