health(Phoenix, AZ) -- In today's health tip -- how to deal with motion sickness.

From time to time almost everyone who has ridden in a boat, car, plane, or an amusement park ride has had to deal with the woozy and dizzying feelings of motion sickness.

Motion sickness occurs when there is a disturbance with the workings of the inner ear dealing with repeated motions. To combat the effects, experts say to face the same way as your ride is moving, and focus on the horizon if possible. Also, avoid reading on bumpy trips and eating greasy or spicy foods.

And while folk remedies of soda crackers and certain carbonated soft drinks seem to work for some, doctors suggest using a variety of the motion sickness pills available as a proven alternative.
