Crittenden Co. Man Killed in 1-Vehicle Crash

A Crittenden County man was killed in a one-car accident just north of Earle early Sunday morning.

The Arkansas State Police report 28-year-old Calvin L. Jackson of Earle, Ark. was traveling south on State Highway 149 near Yellow Store Road when his 2002 Chevy Impala ran off the road and struck a telephone pole.

The car overturned after hitting the pole, and Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson was taken to Johnson Funeral Home in Earle.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

This is like the 3rd story I have ready today that the person died in the accident because they were not wearing a seatbelt. Do people not get it?
