A young man is dead after a group of friends went swimming in a Pulaski County quarry early Saturday morning.

The quarry is just outside of North Little Rock city limits near MacArthur drive.

A group of friends told deputies they went there to go swimming, started having a few drinks and then decided to jump off some cliffs.

One of the friends pushed 19-year-old Cody Smalling off the edge, but he never came back out of the water.

Dive teams found his body about four hours later.

The prosecutor now deciding if any of the teens will be charged.
