Routine Inspection of I-40 Bridge at West Memphis to Require Lane Closure

Crews performing a routine inspection of the Interstate 40 Bridge over the Mississippi River between West Memphis and Memphis will require a lane closure next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The inspection will require the westbound, outside lane to be closed beginning Monday, Aug. 13 and continuing through Thursday, Aug. 16.

The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
