An undercover online investigation has nabbed a Jonesboro man on child pornography charges.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department reports that 25-year-old Stanford Meredith of Jonesboro was arrested Wednesday on a felony warrant for computer child pornography and unlawful use of a communications device.

Meredith allegedly had sexually explicit chats and sent pornographic images of himself over the internet and from his cellphone to a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, but was actually an undercover investigator.

Arkansas State Police and the Jonesboro Police Department also assisted with this investigation.
