A murder suspect Little Rock Police had been looking for since last month has turned himself in.
Police say Cameron Jamal Peterson, 20, surrendered last night at First Division Circuit Court.
He is charged with first-degree murder and battery in an August shooting incident that hospitalized Desiree Rice, 25, and Billy McKinney, 31, both of Little Rock.
Rice later died of his injuries.
Original story (August 7):
Little Rock Police have named a suspect in a late night shooting Monday that sent two people to the hospital.
It happened just after 11 o'clock in the 12-hundred block of Geyer Street on the city's east side.
Police are looking for Cameron Peterson, 20. Officers say he's known to frequent the area around the Hanger Hill neighborhood.
Peterson reportedly has no car and usually catches a ride, police say.
Peterson is wanted on battery charges in the shooting that injured Desiree Rice, 25, and Billy McKinney, 31, both of Little Rock.
Police say Peterson should be considered dangerous.
