A Little Rock teacher died Sunday after she was struck by a car as she was walking down Taylor Loop Road just before 9 a.m.

Little Rock police say Jim Garner was driving a 2012 Ford F150 near Blackthorn Dr when he realized he had hit something.

Officers say he turned around and noticed Margret Proctor lying in the roadway. She had been hit from behind. She died from her injuries.

At this time, police have turned the file over the prosecutor. There have been no arrests and no charges.

Those who knew her, tell KARK Proctor was a well-loved teacher at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic School in Little Rock.
