Man Kidnapped, Robbed, Beaten with own Cane

Hempstead County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two Saratoga men on several charges after a long incident on Wednesday.
Willie Ray Johnson, 61, and 33-year-old Marcus Johnson were booked into the Hempstead County Jail just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery, battery in the second degree and residential burglary.
The Johnsons reportedly went to the home of 51-year-old David Williams in Saratoga and entered without his permission.
Williams told deputies that once they were inside, the men asked him for $100. Williams said he told the men his sister controls his bank account and he couldn't give them the money, but after he said that, Willie Ray said, "Yeah, he's got the money in the bank," adding that Williams was going to give them the money.
At that point, Williams said Marcus took his aluminum walking cane and struck him one time on the side of the face before Marcus grabbed his arm, pulled him out of the chair he was sitting in, and with the elder suspect, forced Williams outside and took him to their car, where they told him to get in the backseat.
The Johnsons then took Williams to Diamond Bank in Mineral Springs, going to a drive-up window, where Williams requested to withdraw $100 from his account.
At that point, the bank teller told deputies when Williams requested the money, he appeared nervous, and that one of the men in the front seat of a beige Honda Accord became agitated.
The victim told deputies that Marcus and Willie Ray told him they now wanted $250, and he attempted to withdraw the money, but the teller told him he would have to come inside and call his sister. With that, Williams said Marcus, who was driving, "spun out" and left the area.
The teller then called Mineral Springs Chief of Police Jeff Witherspoon to report the incident, and Witherspoon contacted the Hempstead County Sheriff's Department.
Hempstead deputies went to Williams' home, where they were met by Williams' sister, who contacted 911 after finding her brother injured.
Deputies observed a laceration on Williams' left eye and cheek, and offered to get an EMS evaluation, but Williams' sister opted to take him to the hospital in her vehicle.
Williams suffered a broken jaw and currently is being treated at a local hospital.
