A wildfire is burning near Ola along Highway 7 in Yell County this afternoon.

It broke out around three o'clock.

According to the Yell County Sheriff's Office (YCSO), the fire is west of the highway.

Crews from the Ola Fire Department were battling the blaze and Arkansas Forestry Commission crews were on the way, along with personnel with Deltic Timber.

At 4:10, the YCSO reported via Facebook that "for the moment it appears fire is contained."

On July 25th, a wildfire in the same area burned hundreds of acres of forest land and prompted the voluntary evacuation of the entire town of Ola.
