The Big Dam Bridge is already the largest pedestrian bridge in the United States, and now one final bit of business is complete.

As of 9:00 Wednesday morning, the southwest ramp is open.

The ramp will make it easier for walkers, runners and bicyclists to access the trail to Two Rivers Park and goes on to Pinnacle Mountain.

When the bridge was first built, funds were not available to include the ramp, but a federal grant made it possible in the end.
