Keeping Furry Friends Safe in the Heat

In this extreme heat it's always important to remember our four-legged friends. Pets can get dehydrated quickly so give them plenty of fresh, clean water.

Also make sure they have a shady place out of the sun and don't over exercise them when it's extremely hot.

You can trim your dogs hair, but never shave them. The layers of dogs' coats protect them from overheating and sunburn.

Finally, brushing cats more often than usual can prevent problems caused by excessive heat.

Follow these tips to help keep your pets safe in this record-breaking heat.
